Goblins, ghouls and ghosts, oh my! McLean Park transforms into a safe haven for thrill seekers of North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Open to all ages and free to the public, the Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with Coastal Carolina University’s Recreation Management class converts McLean Park into a spooktacular site for an array of activities to include hayrides, pumpkin painting, marshmallow roasting, trick-or-treating and much more. Scare free and Scare Zones offer a variety of excitement levels that is sure to satisfy all. There is additional parking in the dirt parking lot behind Duck’s on 1st Ave. S. between Ocean Boulevard and Hillside Drive. Please call the Rec Check Line at (843) 280-5570, ext. 1 for weather information and weather updates by 4:00 P.M. for Howl-O-Scream. The rain date for this event will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011.
