As it gets warmer I’m sure they’ll see their business ramp up tremendously. What a great idea for a business endeavor.

On Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. the Murrells Inlet 2020 5K Race for the Inlet takes place. Lace up those sneakers or bring out your bicycle for some early morning exercise. The race starts and ends at Morse Park Landing on Highway 17 Business (next to the Hot Fish Club) in Murrells Inlet. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  on March 24, 2012 come and enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, games and more at the 5th Annual Taste of the Coast at Barefoot Landing. Risen Christ Lutheran School and the entertainment complex team up each year to bring together a fun family event. Admission is $1 for adults and food and ride tickets are $1. I’ve been enjoying my new job just as I thought I would. The perk of being able to work from home is an added plus.

There were a few places offering Myrtle Beach fishing charters but many just weren’t right for us or were too expensive. Then we found a keeper — Fish Hook Charters out of North Myrtle Beach.

I, for one, am not too comfortable the further away from land I get and so I wanted to keep it in sight. The captain respected that and promised me we’d not go far out if I wasn’t comfortable with it. I liked that that boat was a nice 34-foot vessel and wouldn’t be holding a bunch of people we didn’t know. But what really won me over was the air conditioned cabin so if one of the kids (or more likely me) had enough of fishing in the sun, we could retreat to the air conditioning.

Scare free and Scare Zones offer a variety of excitement levels that is sure to satisfy all. There is additional parking in the dirt parking lot behind Duck’s on 1st Ave. S. between Ocean Boulevard and Hillside Drive.
